Capricorn Season 2020

Every year the Sun goes into Capricorn around December 21, 2019 which is also the first day of Winter.
In astrology, an ingression is the arrival of the sun, moon, or a planet in a specified constellation or part of the sky and marks the beginning of a transit. When the sun moves into a new sign, our world is filtered by the light of that constellation.
Because everything comes from light, all the ions, atoms, and cosmic pixels are influenced by that zodiac archetype. The sun also represents 60-70% of our personal karma, so it’s a rather large shift. Capricorn is the first zodiac cycle of the Winter season which is why the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year, begins on the same day as Capricorn. Interestingly, Capricorn represents the darkest area of our astrological chart! At the same time, it’s the place where we can bring the most light!
There are A MILLION planets in Capricorn right now! It’s really quite intense actually! We have Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, the Sun, the South Node and even Venus transiting the earth sign too!
When the Sun is transiting through Capricorn, known as “Capricorn Season”, certain laws and propensities, gifts and challenges are set into effect. In DASH Astrology, we know that Capricorn is ruled by the Tarot card, The Devil.
The Devil archetype asks us to recognize and accept ALL aspects of ourselves, the light and the shadow. So the solar month of Capricorn, we can become more familiar and attain a level of self-acceptance in order to become more liberated from suffering.
Capricorn is also a month of manifestation and putting whatever we have learned in Sagittarius into crystallization for forward movement. It’s a month of hard work and focusing on ambition. Because there are so many planets in Capricorn, let’s take a look at the transits for this cycle:

During this time, we will feel like we are getting our bearings and trying to balance our year-end finances. There are only so many things we can do to affect our 2019, end of decade, financial portfolio. Once New Year’s strikes, the books are locked! These are the final days to make decisions that affect your 2019 taxes so go ahead and schedule a time with your accountant to understand and act upon purchases that may maximize your deductions.
The spiritual observation of Hanukkah begins on December 22 and practitioners are bringing light to the world every night commemorating the neverending oil! This represents unending substance and that we will always be given what we need to our spiritual work when we are committed to it! No true spiritual aspirant will fall on harsh times!
This is a time when we can invite magic and light into the numbers so that money magic can reveal itself! It’s possible, but only if you allow for it to happen! The Day after Christmas will host the New Moon, solar eclipse in Capricorn which will ask us to take our thoughts and put them into action! So if you want some money magic, shelf that skeptical ego, because it will block the magic! It’s only when we are connected to the Universe that we are able to put our great ideas and dreams into action! Don’t give up!
Later on, Mercury, ruled by The Magician, will enter Capricorn making our magic even stronger! This is a time when we need to really believe in ourselves that we can do the work to fulfill the inspiration and guidance we have caught. Our intentions are powerful, so be responsible with whatever you’re thinking. The more spiritual you aspire to be, the more powerful your thoughts which is perfect for the New Year and the New Decade!

This is a powerful seedling mediation where each day has a focus and asks us to plant an intention of what we want throughout the 12 months of the year!
Interesting how the first 12 days of every year, and the seeds for each month, are essentially ruled by Capricorn! No matter what calendar you use, the Gregorian is used by the entire world because money makes the world go round! Capricorn is an Earth sign connected to money, so it’s no wonder at all!
The planet Mars, which represents our energy, will enter Sagittarius on January 3rd, the day connected to March, the month that hosts Solar Aries and the Spring Equinox! What’s very interesting about this is that the year 2020 is ruled by Aries, which is ruled by Mars, and Mars will be in Aries for half of the year!!! This is a lot of Aries energy to consider! There will be an upsurge of yang energy as weak destructures crumble and stronger ones are reinforced! Things will be recontextualized during this time. More to come about this transit elsewhere.
This is a time when we want to work with others and bring your best to the table. Jupiter will align with the south node of past life karma and lessons learned only to oppose the north node of where we are going as a collective. Watch out for running around in circles you’ve already spun in! Things my look quite different, but if you look closely they might be the same, so really look into the details and use the energy to propel forward rather than be pulled by the past!
Then we will have the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Cancer in opposition to the Saturn-Pluto alignment in Capricorn!!!!!! This is some intense werewolf energy going on!!! How auspicious! It’s almost like the Full Moon is opening a cosmic window to allow us to melt down any negativity that can come from the Saturn-Pluto alignment and have a TON of material to create something new! Full Moon windows are so powerful, so we are lucky to have it in opposition to the Saturn Pluto alignment.

As if that wasn’t enough, it’s a lunar eclipse! A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly behind earth and into its shadow. On a spiritual level, this astronomical event prompts us to become selfless! Whenever we undergo a lunar eclipse, our inner, selfish nature is blocked out so that we can become more sharing, giving, generous and shine in all directions. Only 90% of our ego nature will be blocked, so we gotta take care of the other 10% with tithing or some kind of spiritual offering! Why? Because only 90% of the Moon's disc will be partially shaded by the Earth which will cause a slight shadow across it. This subtle shadow may be visible to stargazers, but what we need to know is that no part of the moon will be 100% eclipsed. The eclipse will last 4 hours and 5 minutes overall which represents progression!
Finally, within this Lunar Eclipse window, Uranus, the planet of turbulence and/or innovation will station direct in Taurus! Shaking up the system and changing out collective radio waves onto new stations!

These dates are PACKED with huge astrological transits! First of all, we are in the final days of Capricorn where we are bringing a lot of lot into the world. At the same time, there is still an overwhelming amount of darkness that needs to be confronted. Don’t worry! It’s a necessary part of life! Think of whenever you get home it’s dark, you just gotta turn on the light!
During this time we are focused on opening our hearts and our minds so that we can really allow the flow of the Universe to run through us. Prosperity and power can increase during this time. What we do with it is, as always, up to us. The trick here is that the more we can connect to our own self-worth and self-value the more we can truly bring to the world. So we will become aware of areas where we rely on too much of the material to supplement any lack within us. It’s okay it’s a time when we can act with self-confidence.
