This Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse!
A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Full Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow. So even though Another eclipse! Wow! Although this is the second lunar eclipse in a row, we are tackling it in an entirely different sign!
But, just to remind you…..
What Is A Lunar Eclipse?
Think of it this way: the sun shines light onto the earth and this shine intrinsically creates a shadow behind the earth. When the moon passes through this shadow and is aligned with both the earth and the sun, that shadow period is called a lunar eclipse.
A lunar eclipse always occurs during a “full moon”. Usually, during the full moon, the moon is full of light, giving us the power to remove obstacles and set our desires. But during an eclipse, we are working within that shadow portal!
The earth is literally blocking out the moon’s ability to reflect the sun’s light. So, we are working with our shadow and our blind spots. Those blind spots create doubt and pain within us. For example, we may think we are abandoned or unable to access the light and thereby cannot melt down obstacles.
Normally during the full moon, we work with the minor Tarot arcana in the moon workshops, but when there is an eclipse we have to work with the major arcana because we need to supplement the missing light with higher energy. Even though this eclipse is not 100%, we still need supplementation from - in this case - The Devil archetype from the Tarot.
What Does The Full Moon Mean?
There is a reason why many people feel out of balance during a Full Moon: It is a time of great transformative energy, and most people are not equipped to handle it. This is why I offer my Full Moon Virtual Rituals, so that anyone may safely access this lunar power to dismantle challenges and activate strengths and virtues associated with the archetype in focus. The Question Of This Quest.
In DASH® Astrology, the Full Moon is a time of reflection, when each of the archetypes asks us a specific question to assist us on our quest. In order to see which obstacles we need to remove, each Full Moon poses a unique question for reflection, as the sun and moon are in opposition - reflecting back to each other the Light of Truth. In this particular cycle, we can access the best of us beyond any quality of duality, by asking ourselves the following question:
“Which areas of my life are ruled by half-truths?”

The more work we do with this question during the Full Moon window, the more moon magic we can tap into. Thunder is the sound caused by lightning. Lightning is an electrical discharge caused by imbalances between storm clouds and the earth. Most lightning occurs within clouds.
In the Tarot, clouds are found within The Lovers archetype (the season we just finished) which has a connection to The Devil archetype. The clouds from The Lovers represent the delusions and confusions within a relationship. These confusions can cause the lovers to fall from living free in paradise, into the state that is depicted by The Devil archetype and become chained.
It all started with the clouds in The Lovers.
So we are granted the ability to remove hallucinations, allusions, illusions, and confusions in relationships. We are looking at the shadow parts of ourselves that want to stay in the dark. We are bringing them up and asking them to liberate themselves from bondage.
It could improve your relationships, even by ending them.
Carly Simon came up with the "Clouds in my coffee" line on a cross-country flight. She explained the meaning of the phrase, saying: "Clouds In My Coffee are the confusing aspects of life and love. That which you can't see through, and yet seems alluring... until. Like a mirage that turns into a dry patch. Perhaps there is something in the bottom of the coffee cup that you could read if you could (like tea leaves or coffee grinds)." *SongFacts.com
Surviving Narcissists.
What tends to happen to relationships stuck in The Devil archetype (the ruler of Capricorn btw) is that the people involved fall in love with the illusion and projection of the other. Many people come together because they are attracted to what they project onto the other, which is just an aspect of themself they push onto the other.
So the projector isn’t really in a relationship with the other, he or she is in a relationship with a projected aspect of him/her self. This is an unconscious narcissism that is often supported by conscious vanity. As long as the projected isn’t doing anything too outrageous to “cause” the projector to find a different project to project upon, the relationship will work until the material expiration is reached.
It’s generally advisable to get out of these kinds of relationships as soon as possible. Narcissism is the core of the ego and within each and every one of us. It’s, in my opinion, the biggest pandemic we have yet to address as a collective. Narcissists will make you feel like the center of the universe until they no longer need you. They are victimizers and actually prey on people who are susceptible to narcissism themselves.
So we need to delete these programs, and the Thunder Moon will be the voice we need to hear so that we can see the light. The clouds in The Lovers will create thunder and we need to listen.
Listen To Your Spiritual Guidance.
Guidance comes in all types of voices and sounds. Some guidance comes from the ego and some come from god. The volume to each depends on the actions we do. If we are selfish and have a lot of doubt, then angelic voices and guidance are muffled by the ego.
We want to increase the volume of spiritual guidance, and turn down the ego chatter.
The relationship between sun, moon, and earth makes for a powerful team. The connection between all three helps us to understand the importance of connecting with self, others, and source. This is because a lot of guidance comes through others. It’s not always in our own mind, yet the ego likes to think it’s all originating from itself, which isn’t so at all.
At work, at home, with friends, our beloved, and in our connection to the universe, we have specific objectives that need to be fulfilled in order to bring peace on earth. When we don’t listen to the spiritual guidance, but rather listen to our ego, we all move away from peace on earth as well as your personal destiny.
It is our destiny to attain peace on earth and it is your destiny to achieve your aspirations, but the time it will take is entirely up to us.
With that said, I just want to tie in some national observations: the full moon, lunar eclipse window will open on the 4th of July at 4:44 UTC. The USA is going through its pluto return and a lot of shadow will be brought up for everyone to work on. Half-truths about liberty, justice, and independence will be exposed and destroyed.
Freedom is not granted by being negative or angry. It’s a state of mind and an aspiration that we should always be striving towards with hard work, self-reliability, and self-responsibility. Nobody can make you enlightened, each and every one of us need to do it ourselves with someone who knows the way. Anything else is a half-truth.
