Hey Stargazers!

Following the Total Solar Eclipse we had at the beginning of July, we are now faced with a partial Lunar Eclipse which is a 180° change of direction.

A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow.

On a spiritual level, it prompts us to become selfless! Whenever we undergo a Lunar Eclipse, our inner, selfish nature is blocked out so that we can become more sharing, giving, generous and shine into all directions. Only partially though!

Why?

Because this is a partial eclipse, not a total one!

Either way, something we began on the Solar Eclipse is going to find a state of perfection on this Lunar Eclipse. Remember, we should strive towards moving from a place of perfection. That doesn’t mean that we need to obsessed about all the details, but we need to feel complete about a situation so that we don’t recycle unresolved feelings into new realities.

In DASH® Astrology, the Moon represents how we receive, as well as how we assert ourselves based on what we have received. When the Moon isn’t receiving the light of the Sun, which represents how we share, project ourselves and go about our life, our reactive, “me first” nature, our ego, is darkened. This can pose either a positive or a negative time depending on how attached we are to our ego.

Our vessel, our ability to receive, is blocked out during a Lunar Eclipse, which means we could feel deprived, abandoned or left out - disconnected even. This will most likely happen when we are attached to our egotistical ways. If we are able to detach from our ego identities and remember that they are just vehicles for Divine Will, we will be able to reboot ourselves and refresh our connection to that Divine Energy seeking expression.

Need, Need, Need, will be eclipsed by Give, Give, Give.

With that said, Lunar Eclipses can be very problematic for people who are not on a path to liberation. But, it is an auspicious window for those of us on a path to liberation from Samsara (the mind caught in the illusion of duality).

The Question Of This Quest.

In DASH® Astrology, the Full Moon is a time of reflection when each the archetypes ask us a specific question to assist us on our quest. In order to see what we obstacles we need to remove, each Full Moon poses a unique question for reflection, as the Sun and Moon are in opposition - reflecting back to each other the Light of Truth. We can access the best of us, beyond any quality of duality, by asking ourselves the following question:

“Is my individual reality supporting growth, creativity, and development for myself and others? Where, with whom and why is it not?”

For those of you working on your own, contemplate this question during the Full Moon window and write down any insights that may come so that you can have a greater idea of what to work on.

As this Lunar Eclipse will occur in the later degrees of Capricorn, it’s digging up a lot of feelings around bondage and what we need to do to become free. The ruler of Capricorn, Saturn, will be in alignment with this Lunar Eclipse which will only put a stronger emphasis on liberation.

Even Bad Things Can Grow.

What this means for us is that we can choose to either become more enslaved by our illusions and survival patterns, or we can choose to bring light into these areas where we experience too much darkness.

This obviously includes a deep consideration of our individual reality. Is it supporting the growth that we want, or is the growing obstacles?

Is it supporting creativity? Or is it supporting chaos?

Is it helping us to develop or are we receiving all the justifications we need to remain lazy, stuck and content with less?

We need to look at where this is happening, with whom it is happening and why it might be so. Then we can, with the power of this Lunar Eclipse, cut out whatever we discover.

Who Is Your Slavemaster?

That’s a trick question. If you don’t know by now, it’s not your boss or your mother-in-law: it’s your ego.

Don’t get me wrong, we need our ego like we need our car to drive across the country. But when the ego is calling the shots, we become enslaved to the ego’s desires, wants, needs and greed to name a few.

For example, if you’re trying to eat better for your body type, control your ego. It’s the best diet plan. That’s will power! Control the ego and you’ll manifest the reality you intend: guaranteed.

I know it’s easier said than done. If it was so easy, everyone would be liberated. But you’re reading these words because you want it.

Ignorance Is Not Bliss.

The spiritual path is an arduous one, and many times as we become more acquainted with the spiritual laws of the universe we would like to go back to the bliss of ignorance. But remember, ignorance is not bliss! We are held accountable for all our actions!

In the moments when our spiritual path becomes uncomfortable, we seek our comfort zones. Whether it be food, drinks, sex, friends, or even worst, “spiritual teachers” who tell us what our ego wants to hear.

It is actually in these moments when we need to endure. Why? Because we are on the verge of a breakthrough into a new reality!

Force Capricorn to be on your side during this Lunar Eclipse.

There is a lot of power and light to be had with this Full Moon in Capricorn, depending on where it’s happening in your chart. We can control our actions so that we can manifest our destiny.
