Pluto in Capricorn (direct)
Pluto Direct in Capricorn.
On October 3, 2019, Pluto, the planet of Judgement went direct after having been retrograde since Apr 24, 2019. So it’s a good time to think about what has transpired since April, as this will indicate patterns that want to be released.
Pluto is the planet of intensity and takes 248 years to orbit the Sun, so when it moves, we all feel it.
As you know from my work, each planet is a representation of an archetype. Pluto has been linked with Hades, God of the Underworld or also known as the God of the Dead. What’s important to know is that Pluto holds our deepest, darkest secrets. Astronomers go back and forth with the classification of the planet probably because its power makes them so uncomfortable. But there is no diminishing the planet that rules plutonium.
Pluto has been transiting through Capricorn since 2008 and will stay there until 2024. We all have Capricorn somewhere in our chart and that placement represents how we are challenged by the rules of the world. Capricorn also indicates our greatest personal resources and since Capricorn rules darkness, it demands that we walk through our darkness before we can approach the light of our gifts.
With this understood, it’s not a great surprise that Pluto in Capricorn has had already serious effects in our world. Since 2008 it has put a stop to the mortgage crisis, revealed major Ponzi schemes, and took away a lot of wealth that was acquired illegally. Capricorn is a very strict and stern sign and while hosting Pluto, we are asked to restrict our orientation towards comfort and use the energy to be proactive with releasing our hidden patterns.
While retrograding, Pluto has been looking within, which subdued him a bit and asked us to do the same. If we think of a coffin where we suppress everything into, we take inventory of that coffin in a Pluto retrograde. Furthermore, for the sake of transformation, Pluto wants to awaken us to things we have hidden from ourselves. And when Pluto goes direct, we release! That’s how much power Pluto offers but it’s up to us how we use it.
Yes, we are talking about repression and suppression. In my astrology healings, one of the first things I do is clear out operating survival patterns, which always are patterns of repression, so that we can see what really needs to be worked on. Or, it could be that we reach a point in the session when repressed survival patterns kick in to prevent growth and it may be appropriate to clear those out. These patterns do not want us to wake up and they rob us of our chance to thrive. The repression possibilities are too much to list, but the effects of repression stagnate our energy and hold us back from reaching our next level.
So although Pluto is what is known as a ‘generational planet’ (meaning it affects global consciousness) each of us has our own link into the global picture. Hence we need to be open to seeing how we impact the collective situation.
The type of transformation we go through is always up to our free will. We can transform for better or for worse, reactive or proactive. It depends on our consciousness, and whether we are addicted to judging others or not. Yes, Pluto is the planet of judgement so it shows us, depending on our chart, where we tend to direct our judgmental attacks.
Capricorn rules over reality and Pluto will breakdown any weak trends or ambitions that are based on selfish motivations. Uprisings are not uncommon with this archetypal synergy. The point is that we should direct this energy into our own lives and not be distracted by what’s going on “out there”.
In DASH Astrology, Pluto is the only planet that can upgrade us and take us to our next level and the greatest lesson we can learn from Pluto is that we only activate judgment (pain, suffering, “disorders” of all kinds) in our lives, when we judge others.
Pluto getting smart with Chiron.
Chiron is the archetype of the wounded healer. I actually teach a two-day workshop on healing the wounded healer in my Astrolochi Training. This is such a vital point to be sealed so that health can be achieved and retained and now, as Pluto forms a quintile with Chiron, we are being asked to find new meaning in relation to our old wounds.
Whether this healing is removing space between us and other people, or between us and our goals, we can use this Pluto-Chiron aspect to make an effort to forget illusions, which prevent us from accessing the energy and healing we need to live our best lives.
Sometimes old wounds blind us from the manifestations they facilitate and given the nature of the beast, it is safe to say they mostly are not what we consciously would like to see! So we have to forget the illusions of our favorite wounds, to move forward in our spiritual and physical lives and access the spiritual energy within the material world.
Ultimately we can bring healing energy and healing solutions into the entire world. The way this works is that when we bring healing energy, people will get inspired to find solutions on a material level. This is how we are all connected - no man is an island we all contribute to discoveries even one person “finds”.
Astrological Wellness from Astrolochi.
Heal with sound and music, or tuning forks. Vitamin B12, ruled by Pluto, could be useful for the red blood cells and check out the Chiron Point Workshop or request a workshop in your area. The Capricorn essential oil blend will be helpful as will the Chakra 2 essential oil blend.
Capricorn rules over our bones, teeth, and knees so find a good vitamin to support those body parts and do exercises that keep them flexible and healthy. Capricorn also rules over our hair and nails so dress them up and keep them strong. Check out a natural hair essence to speed up hair growth, strengthen hair or give it more life by activating the crown chakra. Book in a long-distance consultation with me and I can have a look at what supplements or attitudes would be best for you.
Finally, Mercury will go retrograde on Halloween, which will make us a bit mindless and can make us believe that we get energy from thinking in a negative way. Meditation will get us through this retrograde period. Watch your words and thoughts and focus on transforming old, habitual ways of thinking.
